The 6th tale: Haven't got on a train?
The is for the time of the transformer test in the U.S. mentioned in The 5th tale above. During the lengthy test schedule, we managed to visit Cardinals stadium, as one of the inspectors of a certain power utility liked to visit there.

The stadium is in the midst of St. Louis downtown. Even in that mortorized society, it seemed impossible for tens of thousands of people to come to the stadium situated in the city center by their cars at a time. People parked their vehicles at the parking lot of a train station connected to the city center by tram like trains.

We first went to the 3rd or so station from the city center but it was fully occupied. So we returned to the 4th station and took the tram. Every station along the line was just a parking lot and no ohter facility at all.

Some vistors from the U.S. say that they have had no experience in riding on trains until they come to Japan. Though all of us to hear this react like; "No, you are kiding?", it seems to be true. There can be, in the U.S., those who have no experience on riding trains throughout their life, unless they live in large cities.
